about

In July of 2014 something happened. My wife and I felt in our hearts that we need to leave our home in Charlotte, NC and move to Vancouver, BC. Why? We didn't know but we had a feeling it was for something big, something important. All we knew was that it was for a reason that was bigger than either one of us. Then in September 2014 something else happened. 2 weeks before we left I got a call from my dad telling me he was diagnosed with cancer. I remember being speechless on the phone, the only thing I could think to say is "Well, we're on the way." Two months after that my dad passed away and we were there to say good bye and watch him breathe his last breath. This project is multiple things for me. "The Point of No Return" is a compilation of songs I wrote during this time when I felt like what I had seen and felt could not be unseen or unfelt. This is my diary, this is my therapy, this is my brutally honest truths. It is a roller coaster of emotions expressed through music that takes you right where I was during this time. Extreme moments where I felt immense amounts of purpose and extreme moments where I felt completely devastated and broken hearted. The project is about faith and about doubt, about fear and about trust, about holding on and letting go and is dedicated to the man who died believing in his family, his city and his God.
